About Us

Citizens Alliance for Promotion of Responsive Governance is an Indian NGO, duly registered with the Registrar of Societies in New Delhi under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It is an apolitical not for profit organisation dedicated to promotion of responsive governance. CAPRG is concerned with the affects of policy matters on the society as a whole and their repercussions on groups and individual citizens.

During the last seven years of its existence, Citizens Alliance for Promotion of Responsive Governance has successfully taken up issues of Environment, Preservation of Nature, Civic Amenities, Traffic and Accident related problems, Right to Information, Master plan of Delhi, Power Distribution,unauthorized constructions and mindless commercialization of residential areas.

Our Mission: Ensuring people centric, citizen oriented governance , responsive to the need and welfare of every resident of India. Ensuring Security, Education, Health, civic amenities, opportunities for advancement, justice and impartial application of laws of the land to all citizens, irrespective of caste, creed , religion , educational level or social status. Ensure protection, preservation, conservation and judicious use of natural resources in all its forms.

    Delhi Govt. has debuted an amazing reform in delivering quick, honest, and courteous and user friendly services in driving licensing at their zonal office, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.
    This office has blocked all the practice of corruption , driving license made by touts/ unfair means, untrained drivers, by using technology solutions. The road rage, crimes using vehicles, eve teasing on vehicles is now been obsolete issue today of new drivers of Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.
    Transport Department, Govt. of Delhi has ventured with DSIR (Driving Skill Institute & Research) to start a pilot project to evaluate the driving skills of the new drivers. The system uses a software multiple choice questionnaire which comes randomly to the different applicants in this system and who scores 12/20 marks could only pass, rest of them are denied the learner licenses, till they score the cut off in next efforts. DSIR has made few other precautions like Color blindness, various languages options e.g. Urdu, Punjabi, English & Hindi Languages for convenience to the public.
    DSIR has also innovated a audio visual option which helps illiterate public to undergo the test . The officers / inspectors can not help any applicant even referred by their friends, bureaucrats , politicians , touts etc. as the computers pass the applicants only on merits . For crystal clear transparency internet protocol close circuit cameras are installed and the working of the system can be seen from any part of the world through DSIR link web address vvrto12.dvr99.org
    Now DSIR is approaching Delhi Govt. to extent the system to all zonal office so entire Delhi can have transparency and Delhi to become safe city and the RTOs free from touts .
