Shri JR Lal Secretary, AIDAPA, Delhi Branch

All India Defence Pensioner’s Association , Delhi Branch office has taken up the case of PSU banks not crediting the accounts of pensioners on the last day of the month.

There were delays in crediting the arrears of 6th Pay Commission also.

Though the problem is with many branches of PSU banks a study of delays in PNB was undertaken.

To quote specifics the example of the Punjab National Bank was taken. The matter has been taken up with the Punjab National Bank whose branch has been lethargic in its crediting defence pensioners accounts.

CDA (O) Pune and the CGDA have been considered to be among the best run institiutions in this country.

However the sad part is that of late the Controller General Defence Accounts (CGDA) office at RK Puram appears to be washing its hand of any responsibility for delay in payments to pensioners

We shall be placing the original RTI letter, and the latest letter of 31 Dec which give details very soon.

It is sincerely hoped that CGDA will ensure that Banks carry out their instructions at least in future.
